As Autumn Winter sets in, we look at the enigmatic Luxury handbag brand Valore. The house established itself in 2015, with its legacy routing back to the 1950s.
The company’s CD and founder, Stratton Rouge, spearheads the brand from London, Milan, and Florence, Italy.
The Valore brand is, relatively speaking, a best-kept secret in the luxury leather goods sector; it is kept exclusive by its strategy of not following the overhyping fast fashion route and focuses on its artisan handmade traditional and clever and low-key marketing.
The very different thing I noticed when I purchased my first Valore piece is that the bags are handcrafted in leather and not canvas or PVC like other monogram bags.
This brings a very interesting element to the overall usage and feel of the offering, and it, all in all, feels far superior and premium to bags such as Feur le Page, Goyard, LV, etc.
The brand is proud to produce its bags in small editions in Florence, Italy, and boasts a laboratory that spans three generations of handbag makers.
You can feel this energy and soul in each piece, and that is the story they tell.
I first saw the brand in 2017 whilst visiting Tokyo, and ever since, the brand has been in the back of my mind before purchasing the Stratto Tote in Bianco white last fall. I have been using it almost every day for work and leisure, and as being a full leather monogram, it is aging so beautifully.
If you want something smaller, the brand carries smaller silhouettes such as the icon bag, the ‘Box Shoulder,’ or the Gigi mini Tote, just a few of my favourites.
Something I really like is the ability to customise and personalise your bag by the Valore art studio, which can produce unique bespoke artwork in as little as three days! In comparison, Louis Vuitton can take 12 weeks to personalise bags.
My view is that Valore is a luxury brand for the thinking and thoughtful handbag addict, someone who likes different things and leads the way. In terms of quality, they are up there with the best Italian bags made. The monogram is very sensual. Not only is it textured with a pebble grain, but it is also indeed printed onto the leather, which ages so well, and you have the leather smell, which I think instantly elevates the offering.
I will be hoping they can make some hard suitcases/briefcase cases or pull-along trolleys for next season, as this is the next Valore piece I would like to add to my collection.
