We had a chance to sit down and speak with Create Fashion Brand about everything CFB and their Eco-friendly garment manufacturing.
What is it that makes Create Fashion Brand so different?
CFB: The recent boom of the Eco-conscious troupe of influence has resulted in establishing companies like ours that produce high-quality, sustainable clothing.
With decades worth of experience up our sleeves, we take all the right moves in our commitment towards doing our part in making the world of fashion a more ecologically balanced industry.
Our company prides itself on its responsibility to teach green habits to more manufacturers like us and help reduce the carbon footprint infamously left behind by the fashion industry.
Our long-term goals for taking such measures are not only exclusive to our company’s work culture but also to inspire other clothing brands to follow suit, making the industry more Eco-conscious.
What are some significant steps the company has undertaken for its Eco-conscious movement?
CFB: We focus on producing some of the highest quality garments using our Eco-friendly manufacturing process, but we do our best to try and reduce waste and pollution as much as possible with every step. From using natural gas and solar panels for our boilers to installing photovoltaic panels that produce up to 55% of our electricity, all these steps have helped us reduce our contribution of carbon footprint.
We also try to conserve as much water as possible by using controlled tabs and Eco-friendly tube lighting for all our light fixtures. As a company, we make it our responsibility to invest in new-age technology and machinery so that we consume less energy and increase productivity.
How would you say that Create Fashion Brand is changing the fashion industry?
CFB: We are actively pioneering an entire generation of brands to follow in our footsteps and adopt the Eco-friendly way of life.
One great example we can give you is the policy of transparency regarding our supply chain. Unlike most fast fashion industries which try to be quite secretive about their manufacturing and supply process, we do not hide anything from our consumers. We want them to see everything behind the curtain when it comes to our high quality manufacturing process. We believe it actually instills trust with our partners and customers.
It is safe to say that we have successfully created a movement that is strongly focused on using energy-efficient tools to produce high-quality and sustainable apparel and, in the process, reduce the carbon footprint.
Your company is known for using and producing high quality Eco-friendly fabrics. Where do all your textiles come from?
CFB: CFB textile upholds Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) by using fibers that are ethically and safely produced from the environment without the use of any fertilizers, pesticides, or chemicals. We also use recycled and organic cotton, meaning there is less wastage of materials, and the process is made as clean as possible using only natural materials.
As far as possible, the company does not use toxic chemicals and dyes on its fabrics. Rarely do we have to, but when we do, all the dyes are certified “Oeko-Tex 100”, ensuring that all CFB textiles are free from toxins and have a friendly pH level.
Recently, we have also started using seaweed that gets washed up on the shore for garment manufacturing which are Eco-friendly as well as healthy for the skin. The best part is that it does not interfere with the natural life of aquatic animals.
We have developed CFB as a brand that genuinely understands what it means to recycle and reuse. One of the philosophies we try to emulate to the masses is actively normalizing high quality sustainable fashion trends and helping produce a socially positive outcome.
Who is the garment manufacturing mastermind behind this great company?
CFB: The CEO, Margarida Santos, is the brain behind the conceptualization of the Create fashion Brand. Along with her, we are all working and battling to reduce excessive consumerism and the rise of fast fashion to replace it with sustainable options.
With about 110 professional employees working at our company, we are well-equipped with individuals who are experts at what they do. We have professional embroidery technicians, textile engineers, pattern makers, quality controllers, and cutting specialists.
Even so, the company is always looking to expand its wings and reach out to more individuals willing to abide by the Eco-conscious culture we embody and work for a sustainable future.
