According to Nancy Hernandez, having the right mentality is critical to becoming successful and remaining prosperous. She encourages everyone who aspires to be an influencer or model to have a goal-focused mentality and a positive attitude to persevere through difficult times.
“People will always try to bring you down,” the model adds. “You may come across situations in life that may divert your attention away from business; nevertheless, you must keep in mind that business must be the priority. You must first establish objectives and then follow through. It would be best if you kept up your business daily. You must love it. It must be something you enjoy!”
Surround yourself with individuals who will help you reach your goals
Nancy strongly feels that forming a team is critical for any business. “A work like this needs a tremendous amount of time, and one person can only do so much,” she adds. “Regardless of the company type, you must use your time effectively. If you truly want to develop, you’ll need a team.”
Nancy suggests that distributing tasks is critical, so your team members don’t become overloaded with work. When hiring, she looks for individuals who are responsible, can provide feedback and advice as well as receive advice, can cooperate with others, is optimistic, and not forgetting, an expert in their field – whether that’s a makeup artist, designer, hairstylist, videographer, photographer, or accountant.
Set Yourself Apart From the Crowds
When you’re just starting with social media, you may feel compelled to follow the flock and copy whatever other models and influencers are doing. By doing so, you might think that you’ll be able to stand out and build your unique brand, but it won’t help you in any way.
Nancy’s fan base adores her because she is always herself. The moment you try to be someone else is the moment you will lose yourself, and your fans will see right through it. Your page or profile must represent who you are as a person. If you’re not comfortable with something, don’t post it. Never do anything you don’t want to do only because someone else is doing it or because you feel like it’s what you “have” to do.
She has two children, a curvy and a proud Latina, who doesn’t fit into the common idea of a model’s appearance. “Never compare yourself to others,” Nancy advises. “Ignore the haters and copycats; continue what you are doing and never give up.”
